Three Games are Already Confirmed to be Coming to Game Pass in February

Xbox is clearly taking 2024 very seriously when it comes to their Game Pass contributions. Three games are already lined up for next month, with more very likely to be shadow dropped as it continues. These three that have already been confirmed are all very notable, however, as they show how Xbox as a brand have been branching out into a bunch of different genres- from JPRG to experimental indie. Take a look below at what you have to look forward to as a Game Pass subscriber:

February 2nd- Persona 3 Reload

Kicking off the month is one of the best looking remakes in recent years. Persona 3 Reload is (unsurprisingly) a remake of the classic Persona 3- which was limited to the PS2 and PSP consoles until the portable version got a port to modern consoles last year. However, many fans complained that this version lacked a lot of the features that made Persona 3 great- including the ability to walk around the out of dungeon environments. Thankfully, Atlus decided to craft their very own reimagining of Persona 3 in a style reminiscent of Persona 5- and it looks fantastic. Whether you’re a first time fan or a life long die hard, this remake is definitely worth checking out as one of the most promising games coming this year so far.

PlateUp!- February 15th

Coming in mid way through the month is a release that may remind you of hit party games such as Moving Out and Overcooked especially. In PlateUp!, you are not only tasked with serving your own dishes however, as you must also decorate your restaurant and expand your cooking empire. There is a twist, however. This all takes place within a roguelike dressing. That means that you start each run by acquiring new abilities, food to serve and even restaurants to operate in. Thankfully, if you don’t have anyone to play this with on or offline, you can play the story completely solo- allowing you to experience what might be one of the strangest (but also potentially greatest) genre mashups for a roguelike we’ve seen so far

Open Roads- February 22nd

The final confirmed game for February is the most tonally and visually distinct from what we’ve looked at so far. Coming on the 22nd, Open Roads is an interative thriller movie/visual novel that pits you as Tess Devine, who goes on a road trip with their Mother to uncover family secrets and hidden fortunes. Publisher AnnaPurna Interative have kept a lot under wraps for this project, which is not unusual for them as they’ve been behind phenomenal releases including The Outer Wilds and Stray. Hopefully, Open Roads lives up to their track record and delivers an incredible, unique story that matches with the beautiful visuals on display here.

So, Game Pass is starting off very strong in 2024- and more releases and shadow drops are undoubtedly coming down the pipeline. Considering that Game Pass provided subscribers with over £7000 worth of games for under £11 a month in 2023 alone, this remains the best deal in gaming.
