Steam Will Allow you to Hide your Games

After years of requests, Steam have finally allowed their users to hide certain games from their Steam library. Ordinarily, whenever one of your friends looks at your library, they’ll be able to see the full list of games you’ve purchased and have been playing recently. As you may expect, if you happen to have bought some more… interesting games on the platform, this may be something you don’t want to share with your friends. Thankfully, with its latest update, Steam has added the much-requested feature of hiding away your shame.

By using this feature, any trace of the game will be invisible to anyone but you on your game list. This includes any playtime, activity and status regarding any games you decide to hide. You’ll be given the ability to hide any games via either the Steam game library or shopping cart- meaning any suspicious games you don’t want people to know about can be immediately marked as such before you even pull the trigger of purchasing them.

This addition was made available today and will likely become one of the most used features on the marketplace- especially considering how it was one of the most requested previously. Just make sure you do actually mark any games that need to be marked as hidden before you buy- because if you forget, there may be no redeeming you. So, if there is a suspicious game that you don’t want your friends finding out about, you can finally pull the trigger today. Consider it Valve’s early Christmas present to you.
