All of the Fallout Games are on Sale to Honour the End of the World

In honour of the end of the world, the Fallout franchise has received a massive week-long sale on Steam, GOG and the Humble store. This is because the world-destroying event in the Fallout franchise occurred on October 23rd, 2077- 54 years from this week. If the events in the franchise are true, then a litany of nukes will be launched across the world- ending civilisation as we know it. Of course, it would also mean we rely solely on nuclear power and that we have robot butlers, but a lot can happen in a few decades.

As a part of this sale, almost every entry in the franchise ever to be released is discounted. From the classic Fallout 1 and 2, the questionable spin-off Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel, and even Fallout 76, you can pick up any entries in the series that you may have missed out on. Some of the best deals here are the Fallout Classic Collection for £3.99 and the complete Fallout bundle, which has been reduced to £41.61 from £175.94. If you don’t own any of the games on Steam and want to dive in the deep end, this is a fantastic deal.

While the Fallout series has faltered in recent years- with the heavily criticised Fallout 4 and the widely panned Fallout 76 coming out in 2015 and 2018 respectively. Considering that Bethesda just launched Starfield and are now turning their manpower towards The Elder Scrolls VI, it’s unlikely that we’ll see anything more of the Fallout franchise for a long time to come. That is unless the leaked Fallout 3 Remaster does come to fruition- which many long-time fans are hoping for.

With Fallout 4 being promised a next-gen update for over two years now, there has been a notable drought in content for the series. If you’ve never played some of the games in the series then, this is the best time to give them a try. From the dated but loveable classics Fallout 1 and 2, which were unmatched in their atmosphere, to the masterpiece RPG Fallout: New Vegas, which many consider to be the best in the franchise, the franchise has put out some incredible work. This sale is the best time to pick these games up and give them a try as a PC player- regardless of your storefront of choice.
