Xbox Partner Showcase Coming Later this Week.

Microsoft has announced that a partner showcase with news about upcoming third-party games will be coming on October 25th. This is set to be around 20 minutes long and will feature a launch trailer for Alan Wake 2, further details on Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and the first gameplay for the upcoming Ark: Survival Ascended. A few extra reveals have been teased, but these will be limited to third party- meaning no first party announcements will take place this time.

This means that there will be no news on any Activision-Blizzard products. Not only because the studio is now an in-house Microsoft owned company, but also because the finer points of the purchase are still being finalised. This is also why no Activision-Blizzard games are coming to Game Pass until 2024 at the earliest. Until the acquisition is completely confirmed, don’t expect to hear any new announcements, or see any of the studio’s games come to the service any time soon.

The stream will take place at 6pm BST (just before the time zone change) and, considering its only running for just over 20 minutes, its best to keep your expectations in check. That means, unfortunately, its unlikely that we’ll see anything from the incredibly hyped Hollow Knight: Silksong or any far-off releases like Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes. This will likely only cover games coming out from now until the first couple months of 2024, but it’s still well worth checking out if you’re an Alan Wake fan or are looking forward to the latest entry in the ‘Like a Dragon’ series.
