Death Stranding 2: On The Beach Gets June Release Date
Hideo Kojima fans rejoice! The release date for Death Stranding 2 has been revealed alongside a beefy new trailer that shows off the game’s environments, new mechanics and barely comprehensible story. The sequel has been set for a June 26th release date meaning fans will have to wait only a few short months until they can play the follow up to what is one of the most divisive games ever made.

Judging by the trailer, Death Stranding 2 is set to be much bigger and more ambitious than the first- which is saying a lot when it comes to Kojima’s releases. Even more characters and plotlines to follow inevitably also mean more cutscenes and, of course, some more nonsensical elements that makes a Kojima game so loved by his fans. Even with a new 10-minute trailer, trying to guess anything about the game’s story is pretty much impossible.
Of course, this unpredictability is what drew a lot of fans to the original Death Stranding. Its also what made it so divisive but so popular among a specific sect of the fanbase. Of course, Norman Reedus returns as the game’s main character with a couple of other familiar faces popping up too. Cryptic hints in the trailer suggest there’s more than meets the eye but, to find out more, we’ll likely have to wait for the game to launch in June.

If you can’t wait to throw more money at Kojima, you can pre-order the game from March 17th. A collector’s edition is the most expensive you’re going to find and includes the following:
-48-hour early access to the game
-Limited-edition BB Pod replica
-Exclusive in-game gear and skins
-Collector’s artbook and behind-the-scenes documentary
Regardless, the full game launches on June 26th and is sure to be every bit as divisive as the first. Make sure to keep an eye on this one as more updates trickle out over the next few months in the leadup to release.
