Star Citizen’s Latest DLC Pack Will Set You Back £46,000

Taking a look at Star Citizen’s website, you may be taken aback to find out the cost of their latest DLC bundle titled ‘Legatus 2953’. This is set to include every ship, weapon and upgrade that has been added to the game to date (as well as a bunch of extra goodies). This is the perfect option for somebody who really enjoys Star Citizen but doesn’t actually want to play any of it to unlock these additions. A completely sane decision, of course. This is especially true when you see that price tag for this is a low, low £46,000. What a steal!

If you want to see absolutely everything that’s included in this package, you can do so here, but keep in mind that its a very long read. With 175 vessels in total, you don’t just get a kick start on the game- you get thrown straight into the endgame with everything you would ever want. The problem here? What next? When you have everything possibly obtainable to you in a game, what reason do you have to keep playing? And if you do enjoy the game, why wouldn’t you just play until you can unlock some of these crafts yourself instead of starting from the finish line?

Although it hasn’t been confirmed to have been purchased by anybody as of yet, considering that several people have bought another £1000 pack, I wouldn’t be surprised if this gets picked up sooner than you’d think. What makes this package even more ridiculous is that the game hasn’t even hit beta yet. It’s currently in the late stages of alpha, with speculation that the official beta transition won’t happen until 2025 at the earliest. Considering that you’d be dropping the worth of a house deposit on a game that may never even truly come out (especially since its still in alpha after fourteen years of production), I’d personally say to avoid this deal for now. That is, unless you have exactly £46,080 to burn, of course,
