Xbox is reportedly releasing an Xbox Series S toaster

While the Xbox Series S is a fantastic console- providing a perfect budget entry point into the latest generation of games while not breaking the bank, there was one huge omission from its design. Of course, this is the inability for it to make you food while gaming. Whether you're craving a tuna melt, a cheese and onion panini, or a simple slice of buttered toast, you previously had to drag yourself up from the sofa to traverse into your kitchen just to toast your food. Well, according to a new tweet from French news sit XboxSquad, this struggle is finally over:

Now, it’s very important to note that this hasn't yet been confirmed by Microsoft, but I wouldn't put it past them after their very real Xbox Series X mini fridge released last year Apparently coming later this year, the Xbox Series S toaster replica won't actually let you play games but at least it lets you admire the sleek design of the console from wherever you are in your house! Alternatively, of course, you could place your Xbox Series $ toaster next to your Xbox Series S console which is next to your Xbox Series X consoles which itself is, of course, next to your Xbox Series X fridge. However, I wouldn't advise that fire hazard.

This toaster may indeed be an early April Fool’s day hoax- but considering that we're almost a month early for that (and that Xbox does have a history of creating console-themed kitchen appliances), this does seem surprisingly plausible. Until we know for sure, though, we can only pray that the toaster will find its way into our homes like it found its way into the hearts of so many gamers (including myself) already. Reportedly retailing for 60 Euros-which will probably equate to around £50- this toaster is an investment that is less of a want and more of a need for the majority of consumers- gamers or not.

There's no news yet about when the supposed toaster will be released- but you'll want to act quickly if and when it does come out later this year since the stock is reported to be very limited. With console-themed household devices now suddenly the norm, it’s only a matter of time until we see the inevitable PlayStation 5 Portable Heater (please Sony).
