Xbox Game Pass lineup for March announced

Microsoft has now officially released their lineup for Xbox Game Pass for the remainder of March- and it’s looking pretty diverse. From terrifying sci-fi horror to massive RPGs, Xbox seems committed to delivering the most expansive library for their service as possible. First up is Guilty Gear -Strive- (which came to Game Pass on 7th March), which will be a treat for fighting game fans. The latest in the Guilty Gear franchise (and the best according to a lot of fans), this entry has enough complexity to keep older fans engaged while not putting off those newer to the genre. The art style alone is a good enough reason to check this one out.

The next two games are Dead Space 2 and 3 (coming 9th March), which are somewhat controversial follow-ups to the classic original Dead Space. That first game was recently completely remade in a game that fans and critics love- with it achieving a 92% very positive rating on Steam. If you played that and are craving more from the hallmark sci-fi horror series, then you can check out the second and third games in the franchise via Cloud on Game Pass. This is technically through EA Play so, unfortunately, you won't be able to download these onto your console itself. Still, if your internet can handle it, this is a great way to check out how the series improved and stumbled in its later entries.

Valheim is a game that many fans are looking forward to coming to game pass on March 14th, The survival hit was originally released exclusively on Steam last year and its clear Microsoft worked hard to put this onto Xbox consoles- especially considering that apparently, no PlayStation port is in the works just yet. Set in a procedurally generated Norse world where survival is the key to everything you do, this may be the best possible alternative for you and your friends next to creating yet another Minecraft realm.

Just two days after Valheim (on March 16th) comes Sid Meier's Civilisation VI which is, of course, the sixth game in the hit strategy game series. In it, you take the role of any number of historical leaders (yes- including Ghandi) in a bid to collect as many resources and become the most powerful nation possible. Whether you’re an aggressive warmonger or a peaceful pacifist, each run-through provides something different- even for veterans of the franchise. Finally, March 21st brings Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom to the service. This is a much-loved modern JRPG set in an anime-inspired world with cutscenes handcrafted by the one and only Studio Ghibli. A charming romp that takes you back to JRPG classics of the 90s, this is a game in the genre that should by no means be overlooked.

So, that’s every confirmed game (so far) that’s coming to Xbox Game Pass in March. Of course, Microsoft loves throwing in some surprises along the way but even without those, this is a pretty impressive month. With a plethora of genres, there’s a new experience every week. If this month is anything to go by, the excellent Xbox service just gets better and better.
