Xbox and TMNT Offer Up the Most Bizarre Controllers Ever
Xbox has just announced what could be its most out-there collaboration yet. To tie in with the upcoming TMNT: Mutant Mayhem movie coming later this month (as well as the recent TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge game on Game Pass), Microsoft is giving away four pizza-scented Xbox controllers. That’s not a joke either- as each controller won will come with a bottle of ‘Pizza-scent’ to ensure your controllers keep their smell for years to come.

There are only four of these controllers in existence- with each representing one of the famous Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. That means you’ll have to be very lucky to win one of these in the upcoming sweepstakes draw, which is set to run from July 24th to August 13th. If you can’t resist the idea of a constantly musty controller, you can enter the draw by simply retweeting the official Xbox Sweepstakes Tweet and follow Xbox’s account on Twitter.

You can also check out the controllers in person at the Xbox Gaming Lounge event on August 2nd if you’re on the fence about wanting them. Its unclear as to the long-term viability of a game controller smelling of Pizza (and if that would even be pleasant), but its a nice surprise for fans of the iconic 90s quadruplets. On top of that, it will allow players to be fully immersed when playing any games that get them up close and personal with pizza for whatever reason.

If, for whatever reason, you just can’t contain yourself until these controllers are let loose into the world, you can sate your TMNT cravings with 2022’s 16-bit ‘Shredder’s Revenge’, which harkens back to the 90s with beat-em up style combat and classic multiplayer combos. Since its on PC and Xbox game pass, there’s no reason to not at least check it out- especially considering its high praise from critics and fans alike. All of this TMNT content indicates a resurgence for the strange sewer turtles over 25 years since their inception- and its a return that fans can’t get enough of.
