Persona 3 Reload Receives New English Trailer

A new trailer for Persona 3’s upcoming remake, Persona 3 Reload, was revealed at the recent Anime Expo. This showed off the all-new English voice cast for major characters including Junpei, Akihiko, and Mitsuru- who all manage to capture the tone for the characters from the original game. On top of this, the full main party voice cast was revealed. Take a look below at the complete list:

  • Makoto Yuki- Aleks Le

  • Yukari Takeba- Heather Gonzalez

  • Junpei Iori- Zeno Robinson

  • Aigis- Dawn M. Bennett

  • Akihiko Sanada- Alejandro Saab

  • Fuuka Yamagishi- Suzie Yeung

  • Mitsuru Kirijo- Allegara Clark

  • Ken Amada- Justine Lee

  • Shinjiro Aragaki- Justice Slocum

The trailer showed off most of this voice talent- as well as the new models of these characters. These all look fantastic and modernize the graphics of the original game to be more in line with Persona 5 whilst taking absolutely nothing away from its more grounded, depressing themes. We also got to see the upgrades to environments including the Gekkokan High School and Paulownia Mall- which are given more depth and character thanks to this updated art style.

The trailer also showed off some limited gameplay- but it’s likely that Atlus is keeping animation updates and the more impressive upgrades under wraps for more trailers to come. This is especially true considering that new pieces of Persona 3 Reload news will be coming on every full moon until the end of the year (which is very fitting). Whether these are small information dumps or full-on trailers remains to be seen, but the commitment to Persona 3’s theme is impressive.  If you’re curious, the remaining full moons for 2023 are on 1st August, 31st August, 29th September, 28th October, 27th November and 27th December.

The trailer ended by confirming that the remake would be releasing in ‘early 2024’, which should mean the first few months, but don’t be too surprised if we have to wait until summer to get out hands on Reload. Until then, however, you can get your Persona fill with Persona 5 Tactica releasing on November 17th, which is a charming tactics-based spin-off to the ever-popular Persona 5. Until then, make sure to keep your eyes open around those full moon dates for details regarding to much-awaited Persona 3 remake
