Neon White Coming to Xbox Game Pass on July 11th

Long after rumors that it would be landing on Game Pass, critical darling ‘Neon White’ is finally making its way to the service. The game, which is sitting at an overwhelmingly positive rating on Steam, released back in 2022 to acclaim for its time trial style levels that challenged you to complete them as quickly as possible. Some aspects, including the story, held the game back for some but, considering the complexity and addictive nature of its bitesize levels, players found themselves unable to put the game down. With each weapon provided being in the form of a limited resource card, perfection isn’t only requested, but demanded for perfection.

The game was originally exclusive to PC and Nintendo Switch but quickly founds its way to PlayStation and Xbox consoles. During this time, it was heavily rumored that Microsoft were going to snatch this up as an offering on Game Pass but, over a year later, nothing seemed to come of this. That is until recently when Xbox confirmed that all Game Pass subscribers would be able to play this game from July 11th as part of the subscription.

Although the art style and bizarre cutscenes may convince you to put this one off, its mission-based gameplay is so addictive and masterful that most players should be able to look past it. With the integration of leaderboards for each level based on the speed and finesse of completion, optional ultra-fast routes and a rating being given depending on how skillfully a player completes a section, Neon White is a speed runners dream. If you aren’t sure whether to choose a first-person shooter, platformer or puzzle game to play next, why not go with all three when Neon White comes to Game Pass later this month.
