Tears of the Kingdom Switch OLED revealed

At the end of the gameplay overview trailer earlier this week, Nintendo unveiled another surprise in the form of a sleek-looking Zelda-inspired Nintendo Switch OLED. Launching on April 28th, the device has a decorated dock and joy-cons included. It's important to note that the upcoming Legend of Zelda game, Tears of the Kingdom, won't be included in this package. Since this is coming out two weeks before the game itself, you'll have to pre-order them separately.

Of course, as this is for the OLED version, this is retailing for quite a bit more than the regular console- with an FRP of £319.99. If you were looking at picking up an updated version of the Switch with a better-quality screen, it may be worth waiting for this to release next month since it's the same price as every other OLED model. With a better stand, larger screen, and crisper colors, this looks to be the ultimate way to experience the latest Zelda game if you're a true devotee.

The OLED Switch model isn't the only Tears of the Kingdom-related hardware announced either. There's also a £54.99 Switch Pro controller and £24.99 carrying case available to purchase. These both have the same design style as the OLED model with a sleek white and gold color scheme. Although not officially revealed, it’s expected that they will also be released on April 28th or May 12th at the latest. If you're interested in any of these products, you can pre-order them all up from Nintendo's official store now- but considering the popularity of the Zelda brand, you may want to act quickly.
