PlayStation has announced a new console bundle to tie in with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which is coming later this year. The bundle is set to go live for pre-orders in just a few hours at 10am BST, and considering how many people have expressed interest in this, you may want to act quick to get your hands on this one. The bundle will include a PS5 console with custom faceplates, a unique controller and, of course, the actual Spider-Man 2 videogame.

Considering the limited edition nature of the console, its expected to sell for around £500-£550, which is slightly higher than the base £479.99 price of the base model. PlayStation has announced that these bundles will be available to buy from Sony’s official website, but fans can also find these at select retailers that have yet to be revealed- so its a good idea to keep your eye on storefronts such as Amazon and Game to get your hands on this.

If you already own a PS5 and don’t feel like shelling out another £550 just to get a slightly different look to your console, there’s some good news. PlayStation has announced that players will be able to pre-order the wireless Controller and faceplates individually from September 1st, which is only a couple of days after the bundle becomes available. This is great as it sets the precedent that fans will be able to get their hands on some nice-looking accessories without having to buy a whole new console.

As for the design itself, it looks fantastic. Both the controller and faceplate link with the themes of the upcoming Spider-Man 2, as well as reflect one of its villains: Venom. With the red suit and black symbiote fighting for control of the console, it represents how Peter Parker and Venom are both fighting for control of their shared body. They look fantastic and are a good sign of limited editions to come. especially for one of the first unique variations for the console.
