PlayStation Fan Creates Unhinged Petition Regarding Starfield Exclusivity

In what may very well be the most bizarre petition to ever grace the website, Change.org has recently been the gathering place for PlayStation fans that just can’t stand Starfield being an Xbox exclusive. Started by Benjamin Dickey, the petition aims to somehow change Xbox’s mind and force Starfield to release on the PS5 The petition has the following reasoning for why this should be the case:

“For over a decade Bethesda games have been released on PlayStation. They perform better on PlayStation, run better, and sell better. Xbox and specially Phill Spencer have NO BUSINESS taking them away.”

Aside from misspelling Phil Spencer’s name, the petition makes some pretty compelling arguments for why Starfield should not only be released on PlayStation but also why it should be a PS5 exclusive. Take a look at some of the below reasonings:

“Xbox and its 12 dedicated players do NOT deserve Starfield or any exclusivity. Not only are they arrogant and annoying but since the showcase they have been irritating.”

“Third, exclusivity is not good for Starfield itself. The matter is simple. If it releases on Xbox, its a bad game.”

“I have news for you, Pill Dispenser is a PUSHOVER!… he has owned Obsidian and Bethesda for YEARS now and despite the OVERWHELMING demand for a New Vegas sequel or remake he REFUSES to do it.”

Now, I was initially sceptical of this petition, but after these arguments, it all makes sense. Xbox is just bad and, of course, Phil Spencer (or Pill Dispenser in this case) has no idea what he’s doing. At this rate, I wouldn’t be surprised if Microsoft just gives away Bethesda and Starfield as a PlayStation exclusive as a result of this petition. I mean, with it already amassing a huge 1,100 signatures in four days, it would be crazy for Xbox to deny this request.

It’s actually unclear as to whether this petition is satire or not, but considering the surprising prevalence of the console wars on websites like Twitter and Reddit to this very day, I wouldn’t be overly surprised if this was a real request. If you’re behind this idea, go and sign the petition now- but make sure to take your pills first. For a closing remark, I think it’s best to let the final argument of the petition work its magic:

“We need to submit legislation to our local representatives to FORCE Microsoft to comply. We need to go out in mass and stop people from buying copies in launch date. Even better go online and report every video you see praising Starfield until we make it exclusive for us and ONLY us.”

I look forward to seeing us brave gamers submitting legislation and rioting in the streets until Microsoft gives in and finally makes Starfield a PlayStation exclusive. And remember- if you see anyone in your local store purchasing a copy of Starfield for Xbox, have no mercy.
