Baldur’s Gate III Deluxe Edition Available to Pre-Order Now

Whether you have yet to pick up Baldur’s Gate III or are already a huge fan, you can now finally get your hands on a physical copy of the game- well, almost. The game of the year winner launched exclusively on digital storefronts for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox earlier this year, but fans have been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to buy a physical version of the smash hit RPG. Thankfully, Larian Studios has finally provided this option for fans. However, while it’s available to be pre-ordered now on Larian’s website, these won’t be shipped out until Q1 of 2024.

This pre-order doesn’t just include a copy of the game, however. Larian Studios is offering a bunch of extras that make the £70 price point of this package more than worth picking up. You will still receive a physical copy of the game- with the number of discs required varying from platform to platform. PC players will get their content on one disc while Xbox fans will have three discs in their package. Aside from that, fans will also be treated to a three-CD soundtrack with beautiful custom disc artwork. This will allow fans to listen to the fantastic soundtrack of the game wherever they can find a CD player (which is, admittedly, becoming more and more rare in today’s age). On top of this, there is also a set of 32 stickers based on DND for you to customize your laptop, console, or furniture of your choice (if you’re brave).

Next up, you can get your hands on a two-sided map showing off some of the most iconic locations of Faerun that you’ll likely recognize from the game. A couple of patches are also included- with a mark of the Absolute and one of the Flaming Fist letting you choose your alliance (but in stitched form). A small mind-player poster with some fantastic artwork is another piece of the package. Considering how much of these pieces are often included on their own as part of other games’ deluxe editions, this package is impressively packed- and that’s not even considering the final offering.

Likely the biggest draw of this package, the Baldur’s Gate III game box follows the tradition from the original two games in the series by looking like an old-school book. This looks fantastic and would be a great addition to any fans’ collection. Considering that this entire package is selling for only £70 (which is the normal price of a AAA release in 2023), this is extraordinary value for money. Considering how the game is being sold on digital storefronts for £58, you can get all of these additions for (essentially) the cost of £12, while also being able to preserve the game as part of physical media on your shelf. If you can hold off for a few more months before playing 2023’s game of the year, it’s certainly worth trying to get your hands on these deluxe editions if you can.
